TGP were appointed as design team leaders for a series of costed management proposals for a new urban fringe park on the outskirts of Blantyre. The scope of services included a site survey of the existing path network including new links for pedestrian and equestrian use, together with woodland management and survey recommendations. TGP supervised the implementation of the first stages of the masterplan, including the upgrade of the quarry pond, development of a picnic area, sowing and conservation of acid grassland, provision of car parking, upgrades to the path network, signage, woodland management and the preservation, conservation and interpretation of the WWI gun batteries within the park.
