TGP were appointed to design and implement the new maternity unit at Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock, replacing an existing unit next to the A&E Hospital at Crosshouse. The design included two sheltered courtyards and a screened garden used for development and use by patients and staff, incorporated as an element taken from the original building, in addition to designs for the boundary, entrances and car parking including both hard and soft landscape features. New site wide facilities were included within the design, such as helicopter landing pads and their associated restrictions on planting.
