Mey BESS
TGP were commissioned to prepare the LVA for a Battery Energy Storage Site near the village of Mey, Caithness, Highlands.
Potential effects on views from local residents, recreational routes and the Mey Castle GDL were key components in the assessment process.
As part of the scope, TGP prepared the landscape mitigation plan, which integrates new areas of woodland, hedgerow and tree planting with existing areas of forestry and the underlying landform to visually contain the proposed infrastructure within the Site. The establishment of landscape planting was illustrated within supporting visualisations to illustrate the reduction in effects over time.
