Catherinefield, Locharbriggs
TGP are delighted to be working again with Collective Architecture and G3 Consulting Engineers for the Wheatley Group on this proposed housing site at Catherinefield adjacent to Locharbriggs, Dumfries and Galloway.
This site is to be transformed into mixed housing and a Living Well Centre, incorporating public open space, play areas, foot and cycle ways, rain gardens and SUDS.
The ecological sensitivity of the site included careful design around the Catherinefield Moss (Local Wildlife Site) and the creation of a buffer area around a badger sett and the rare Broomrape plant.
Proposed planting within the site is based on low maintenance shrubs, native heath planting and a selection of perennials to encourage pollinators and biodiversiy over a long flowering season.
