TGP were appointed to create a masterplan of improvements to the Maryhill locks as a vibrant new residential area, a project that is already in its second phase. The current focus of the project is the east section of Maryhill Locks, consisting of 125 new housing units. An essential element of the regeneration masterplan was the development of the landscape strategy by TGP. The proposals were further developed for a wide variety of other areas including public spaces and play areas, semi-private courtyards, shared pedestrian and vehicular zones, and pedestrian movement zones. An arts strategy developed by a local artist working with the community has also been incorporated into the detail proposals for implementation.
