Inverness Maritime Heritage Trail Project Public Exhibition

26th March 2024

We’re thrilled to be working with Inverness Harbour Trust, Sustrans Scotland and Highland Council on the Inverness Maritime Heritage Trail project.

This aims to transform the Port of Inverness into a cycle and pedestrian-friendly route, connecting Stadium Road, Cromwell Road and Longman Drive. This also forms part of the National Cycle Network Route 1 (Land’s End to John O’ Groats) and is popular with cycle-to-work commuters from the north and in particular The Black Isle.

This initiative promises to enhance accessibility and celebrate the rich maritime history of the region.

As part of our delivery on this project, TGP delivered a public engagement exhibition to gain feedback on how the Inverness Harbour area can be improved and made more accessible.

Our exhibition showcased the latest updates and emerging design proposals for the Inverness Maritime Heritage Trail project in Eastgate Shopping Mall on March 21st 2024. Possible improvements on the footways, safety and making the cycling and walking networks more attractive were our main concerns during these public consultations.

With feedback from the public now in place, we can continue to support the project and its aims to improve the connectivity of the Maritime Quarter of Inverness with the city centre.
