Towneley Park

Burnley Borough Council. The main elements of the park reflect their eighteenth century origins and form the context for the core attractions Towneley Hall Museum and Art Gallery. The project includes re-establishment of the C18 Avenue; woodland management; established through the Forest of Burnley project; restoration of the formal hall pond, Italian Garden and war memorial garden, and new parking and traffic management measures. Stakeholder consultation has been a key part of the process to ensure maximum value to the community and to capitalise on the great educational value of the park.
