TGP were appointed directly by Renfrewshire Council to prepare external landscape proposals for the replacement primary school in Paisley. The design accommodates a learning through landscapes approach with the outdoor environment providing a flexible educational, play and biodiverse resource as well an attractive setting for the school. The grounds include natural play features, growing gardens, habitat areas and covered outdoor teaching spaces. Hard landscape materials were used to reflect the different usage of the spaces. Soft landscape materials offer the children a sensory experience as well as improving the sites biodiversity with the introduction of native species, wild flower mixes, sensory planting and bulb mixes.
